on the first day of lunar new year its sorta just like a yearly routine.. a little different for this year.. paternal grandma gonna spent the new year period with us.. dad went to brought her home since new year's eve.. she seems so enthu abt the praying stuffs and preperation thingy.. but her memory deprive her from remembering other lotsa meaningful memories.. anyway we went over to uncle's hse.. and the most heart warming thingy i saw was that finally all the 3 families are together as a big family..

aftermath went to visit our maternal grandma.. its always a different atmosphere at my mother's side in terms of the family size.. more people and kids.. with kids around our attention will be surely on them.. kids are always the one who gave us the festive mood. yar then get to know one my cousins is getting married soon.. din really expect him to be that fast but its a good news..

But this time grandpa is no longer around. first year having the new year with his absence.. few days before the lunar new year i dreamt of grandpa. i dreamt that he was preparing a feast for us. yar cos every year hes always the most busy one as he will make sure everyone will get to eat. most importantly grandma is not alone.. she has her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren spending lunar new year with her..

then went aunt's hse.. her hse also filled with kids.. but it seems like all have grown up.. not as noisy as before.. yar those are the ones whereby only meet once yearly.. saw something that aunt did outside her room.. guess she also missed 'him' a lot.. guess all of us has the same feeling..

aftermath we went to esplanade area where the 'Singapore River Hong Bao 2006' is located.. lotsa people were already there.. din know that the first day of lunar new year is able to attract so many people there..

its gonna be the last new year to spend with ah zu..

its not well take.. but i love this night view..

we waited for the fireworks till it start to pour..

actually the purpose of making a trip down is to see the fireworks.. crowd is getting bigger as the time is nearing.. even those boats also stopped for the tourist to view the moment..

finally.. the long awaiting moment..

and it ends with the applause and cheer from the crowd..

this is the best view that i can take for the 'fortune god'.. jus wanna wish everyone can 'fa fa fa' and a brand new 'wang wang' year.. yar wanna thanks sharon for informing abt the fireworks thingy..
